IVESTRONG UpDate
Sidney has won her battle with brain cancer. She is at peace and is with the Lord. Her battle on earth lasted 18 months. She was a vessel to let the light of Jesus shine forth through her in her illness. She passed on November 11th 2009. She was an eleven year old with a mighty faith. I have been following her journey on CaringBridge website. Tasha, Sidney's mother is the journalist and she is candid in sharing her feelings and considers the Caring Bridge site her ministry. We do not know why we go through the things we do but we do know that God is in control and that He goes through it with us. TO GOD BE THE GLORY.We continue to pray for Sydney Ives family. She was the grandaughter of Pastor Herman Brown of Lincolnwood Baptist Church. She was playing the piano when her mother noticed she was only using her left hand. They took her imediately to the doctor and found brain cancer. She had a limited time here on earth but she used that time to be a light for Jesus. She had expressed to her mother that she was okay with going to be with Jesus. To God be the glory! We know that God does mighty and wonderful things. You can read about her at caringbridge.org/visit/sydney98. Trusting God for His best no matter what. PS. sidney's grandmother Ann Brown has been diagnosed with esophageal cancer. She has had surgery and her recovery is coming along. Please pray for Sidney Ives and her family and for Ann Brown and her family.

Christmas Offering In December we support the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. There are many people in the world who have never heard the story of Jesus, but thanks to your kindness and generousity many more of them will now have that opportunity. We live in relative comfort but the international missionaries suffer hardships as they seek to share the gospel. By our giving we show support to them and help provide resources to help them in their work.
